Kids in the Park @ Belknap Mill

NHF&G's C.O. Joe Canfield, Little Foot and some team members of Lakes Region Search and Rescue participated in the "Kids in the Park" series at Rotary Park at the Belknap Mill in Laconia today to teach hiking safety, what to do if lost in the woods and to demonstrate how a rescue takes place! We showed how a SAR team hikes in with equipment to help an injured hiker. Little Foot explained the "Leave No Trace" principles and showed the "10 Essentials" that should be in every hiker's pack! A really super fun morning educating kids! We love what we do!!
